Switzerland is like never-never land. A landlocked fairyland in the middle of Europe. And I am in love.

I'll start at the beginning. Our plane from Detroit to Amsterdam got delayed so we had to change it to Paris instead (No complaints there.) Then there was a mix-up at the Detroit airport, so we missed our flight to Zurich, Switzerland and had to stay an extra 3 hours in Paris, so I got to relax and listen to the French speak their beautiful language, which I could listen to all day, look around and take some pictures:

Eventually we got on the plane to Switzerland and these are some pictures of the Swiss country side and villages I took from the plane:

Luzern is the absolute most magical and magnificent place I have ever been. The city has a feeling of pride and elegance and something you can't explain, but to me it is almost the feeling of.... home.

Lots of Stairs all Over the City
Fresh Cheese Pies

Although there are big differences between here and home, like the hillside villages, the old, beautiful buildings, clean streets, I especially like the subtle differences....

Brick Backroads in the City

Today we also met my host family. They are beyond perfect. They are the nicest people you could imagine and their house is so clean... Uh-oh.. Just kidding, I'll just consider it one more challenge. I am so happy. Every minute I am more thrilled to be here.

  1. It's good to read what you're up to, Inea. There's nothing like a fresh cheese pie. What? Keep up your office and room work. Keep writing.
